Some / Any / (a / an)

Los cuantificadores "some" y "any" pueden significar en español muchas cosas: algún, alguno, alguna, algunos, algunas, algo de, ningún, ninguno, ninguna, ningunos, ningunas.

"Some" se utiliza en oraciones afirmativas

1) There are some children in the playground
2) There is some butter in the fridge

"Any" se utiliza en oraciones negativas e interrogativas

3) There aren't any children in the playground.
4) Are there any books in your school bag?
5) Is there any milk in the bottle?

Por último, recuerda que los determinantes "a / an" se utilizan para expresar que hay "uno/a". Normalmente se utiliza "a", pero si la palabra siguiente empieza por sonido vocálico se utilizaría "an".

6) There is a cat in the garden

7) There is an elephant in the zoo
