Las principales preposiciones de tiepo son at/on/in. Veamos ahora en qué si diferencia y para que sirven:
AT: Se utiliza para:
- Las horas del día: at ten o'clock, at two thirty
- Por la noche: at night
- Al mismo tiempo: at the same time
- Para periodos vacacionales: at Christmas, at Easter
ON: Se utiliza para:
- Días de la semana: on Monday, on Tuesday
- Fechas: on the 3rd of April, on April the 3rd
- Días especiales: on my birthday, on Christmas Day
IN: Se utiliza para:
- Partes del día (excepto por la noche que era "at night"): in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening.
- Meses del año: in January, in August
- Estaciones del año: in summer, in winter
